Talking Climate Action – Oxford Climate Society

November 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Note: the event will be livestreamed from the Oxford Climate Society’s YouTube page. You can register here on Eventbrite and we will send you a link closer to the event.

We are absolutely thrilled that world-renowned climate scientist and climate change communication leader Dr. Katharine Hayhoe will join us for an online talk about her new book “Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World.” Drawing on interdisciplinary research and personal stories, Hayhoe shows that small conversations can have astonishing results. Available now, Saving Us leaves us with the tools to open a dialogue with your loved ones about how we all can play a role in pushing forward for change.

In the session, we will discuss why talking about the climate crisis with our families, friends, and communities can be an extremely powerful and meaningful form of climate action. We will also explore her advice for effective climate communication and hear her thoughts about the outcomes of COP26.

This event is run in partnership by the Talk Climate Change project based at Oxford University and the Oxford Climate Society
